COMRADE ADEYANJU’S TRUE DESIGNATIONS IN ITF

Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adeyanju Adewale, fnli HFCPSP, the President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) who doubles as the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) was recently elected and announced as Vice President of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Global; Executive Board Member, ITF Global and Chairman, ITF Africa during its Regional Conference held in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire between 5th – 7th of March, 2024.

Before Dr. Adeyanju’s elevation to the aforementioned positions in the International Transport Workers Federation, the indefatigable Labour Leader was the Chairman, Seafarers and Dockers Sessions, ITF London; Member Fair Practices Committee (FPC).

Prince Adeyanju’s sterling qualities of leadership and dynamic style of relationship with employers and employees in the labour sector, particularly in the maritime industry cannot be overemphasized. Little wonder, the Maritime Numero Uno leader could ascend these lofty heights in the leadership cadre of the International Transport Workers Federation.

This press statement is now necessary to correct the previous press reports that Comrade Adeyanju has been elected and announced in the Abidjan Regional Conference as Vice President, Africa; Chairman, West Africa and Executive Board Member of International Transport Workers Federation (ITF).
