BUNU CELEBRATES COM. TONY NTED ON HIS BIRTHDAY

The President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, celebrates Comrade Tony Emmanuel Nted on his birthday, 1st of October, which also coincides with Nigeria’s Flag Day.

Bunu says of Comrade Nted as one past President -General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria, whose love for the Union and its members were top priority in his scheme of administration in his days.

Comrade Bunu says Com. Nted will continue to remain a burning light of the Union, recalling his administrative acumen by handing over the leadership of the Union in the expiration of his eight-year tenure to an accomplished administrator, who often referred to as “Ade”, and a very strong “Field General”; a revered administrator in the person of Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, in whom he believed is worthy and capable as a resourceful successor.

Comrade Bunu says he was lucky to have worked with the duo of these great leaders and had no regrets stepping into their big shoes, noting that learning their ropes of leadership was the best he got from their various administrations.

I started applying their leadership roles as District Chairman in Onne, Portharcourt; and while serving as the President of the Seafarers Branch of the Union, saying that both leaders immensely shaped his becoming the President -General of the Union.

He congratulated the one referred to as “Son of God” and a seasoned leader with milk of honey, and kindness running through his veins. He further described him as a man, whose love of God, for humanity, and members of the Union is second to none.

It was necessary for him to see to the successful rotational Presidency of the Union, given the four branches as it were; which was implemented under the leadership of the erstwhile President -General of MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, having the Seafarers Branch as the first beneficiary.

Comrade Bunu noted with excitement how he will continue to remember Comrade Nted, given his limitless leadership foresight, which has benefited all four arms of the Union in his true conscience, saying that posterity will ever remember him for his goodwill towards humanity.

The astute labour activist and maritime expert prays that the Almighty God will keep granting him good health and prosperity as he marks another wonderful birthday in consonance with Nigeria’s independence celebration.

E-Signed

Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN
